With the first signs of spring appearing and Mother's Day just around the corner we've put together a fresh window display with a sample of our beautiful Caroline Gardner Mother's Day cards. Also in the window we have limited edition prints by Debbie Boon that are so full of life and character, our favorite has to be the springer spaniel, just look at those ears!
Along with many new prints this week we have also had a recent restock from 'Retro Lamp Works' with more unique lamps now in our gallery.
Exciting new pieces have arrived this week which are now up in our freshly reorganized gallery, come and have a browse! Along with new artwork, our ready-made frames have also been restocked and with more on the way.
In a wonderful new addition to Sevenoaks Art Shop we now stock beautiful, unique lamps from Retro Lamp Works which add character to any room.
We will be closing up early tomorrow so please make sure to pick up your framing orders in the morning if you haven't done so already!

It's Bublé season here at the art shop, and with that we've been decorating, with 'Holly Jolly Christmas' playing on repeat getting us into that festive spirit we are now ready for the Christmas lights switch on this Friday 25th.
In our windows this week we have some exciting new pieces by Roger Fitzgerald that are included in his new book 'Buildings of London' presented in beautifully minimal white frames.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and this week we are supporting Breast Cancer Care with our beautiful pink themed window display for Pink Week.

With Summer showing the first signs of conceding to Autumn, this weeks window celebrates the change of the seasons, with the Autumnal prints of Melvyn Evans, and original paintings of John Russell, contrasting with the summery playfulness of Quentin Blake and Anna Pugh. Can you believe 4 years have passed since the London Olympics?! Tonight Rio de Janeiro hosts the opening of the 2016 Olympic Games. To get into the sporting spirit we've recreated the Olympic rings using various art materials that can be found in the shop, including our freshly restocked Pebeo art materials.

We're very lucky to have an inspiring Olympic runner on our doorstep - Kelly Holmes has been working hard for worthwhile causes for many years.
In April she ran her first marathon with the aim of raising £250,000 for five charities close to her heart which include the Pickering Cancer drop in centre in Tunbridge Wells, The Hospice in the Weald, Mind, Myeloma and The Dame Kelly Holmes Trust.
We have recently framed two signed photographs of Kelly Holmes which are soon to be auctioned off to raise money for various charities. Keep an eye out at KellysCharityHeroes on twitter for further information.
Never mind the football, we have a spanking England rugby shirt signed by none other than England players Manu Tuilagi, Owen Farrell, Chris Robshaw and Mike Brown. This would be a superb addition to any fanatic's collection. We also have lots more sporting goodies including prints for sale in the gallery: rugby, cricket, football ...
Otherwise we're still in with a chance with the Tour de France and Wimbledon, so we're keeping our fingers crossed!
A window to celebrate summer-time reading and making art. There is something about the bright mid-summer that invites dreaming, it is a time for disappearing into the garden for reading about far-away places and kingdoms. We have a print of Peter Pan created out of the full text of the book, a perfect gift for dreamers young and old. Proving to be a huge hit with our customers we have acquired editions of Quentin Blake illustrations of our favourite Roald Dahl stories. You might be going to see The BFG at the cinema, but did you know that there is currently a spectacular exhibition of Quentin Blake's illustrations of The BFG at the House of Illustration in London?
As the summer holidays draw nearer, school leavers all over are celebrating their achievements. What better than to have a momento of that day when you sign your best friend's shirt? Featuring in the window this week is Sam Toft, whose prints feature her characters, Mr. Mustard, his dear lady wife Violet with an eccentric host of pets, friends and sheep. Working in Pastel, pencil and unusual mixed media techniques, she creates an idiosyncratic world that evokes trips to the seaside in nostalgic colours and inimitabe style. She has exhibited work at numerous solo shows in London and across the UK. We are exhibiting a number of limited edition signed prints in the upstairs gallery, alongside smaller prints and greetings cards in our shop.
Nothing says sumptuous more than an elegantly gilded frame. There is a certain kind of crafty thrill which comes from gilding interesting found objects and collectibles. It can be just the thing to bring some shimmer to a tired picture frame, or a lamp, or seashells, perhaps a piece of furniture if you're feeling adventurous. A gilded letter edge for would make extravagant wedding invitations.
We have a range of gilding supplies in a variety of bright metallic hues - from Treasure Gold wax and Liquid Leaf bright metallics to Goldfinger gilt cream. They are so simple to use, and can be applied to so many different surfaces.

The girls worked hard on Saturday to brighten up our display just as spring approaches, with a fresh theme decking the windows out with vibrant floral landscapes and inspiring craft supplies for starting spring themed art projects.
